Exemplary Support from Our SIM After Market Service Team

We want to highlight a recent situation that perfectly showcases how our Systems in Motion (SIM) After Market Services team embodies our commitment to customer satisfaction and reliability. Earlier this month, A major “last mile” parcel carrier in the Chicagoland area and one of our significant clients— faced a major challenge. Their main sorter experienced a catastrophic failure, causing severe damage to essential components like the chain and shoes. With a system as complex as theirs, downtime isn’t just an inconvenience; it’s a significant operational hurdle. A failure of this magnitude could have prevented as many as 70,000 packages from reaching their destinations on time. However, our SIM After Market Service team sprang into action without hesitation. They quickly assessed the situation, mobilized resources from multiple locations, and worked with remarkable speed and precision. Our team didn’t overlook a single detail while rebuilding the sorter, and they ensured everything was back online for the company to resume sorting their parcels on time that evening. This incident is a perfect example of how our After Market Service team can provide unparalleled support to our clients. Whether it’s addressing a sudden breakdown or performing regular maintenance, our team is always ready to ensure our clients’ systems are up and running smoothly.  We offer comprehensive support across all areas of our business—from conveyor systems and installation to controls, software, wiring, and AMS. Our goal is always to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency, just as we did for this company. Our Aftermarket Services is quick thinking, hard working, and adherence to our Core Values made this rapid recovery possible. This is the level of service and dedication we strive to provide to every client, every day. Click here for more information on how Aftermarket Services can help you!

QIMAROX LIFTS AND SPIRAL CONVEYORS

Lifts and spiral conveyors are two popular options for vertical material handling in various industries. While both have their advantages, Qimarox lift is a versatile option for transporting cartons vertically. Qimarox lifts and spiral conveyors are two popular options for vertical material handling in various industries. While both have their advantages, here are some benefits of Qimarox lifts compared to spiral conveyors: Space-saving design: Qimarox lifts have a much smaller footprint compared to spiral conveyors, making them ideal for facilities with limited space.  Increased flexibility: Qimarox lifts offer a wide range of options for customization and can be adapted to meet specific customer requirements, making them more flexible compared to spiral conveyors. Higher load capacity: Qimarox lifts can typically handle heavier loads compared to spiral conveyors, making them ideal for heavy-duty applications. Better accessibility: The design of Qimarox lifts allows for easy access to the conveyor, making maintenance and repair tasks simpler compared to spiral conveyors. We recently installed an innovative lift and conveyor system for one of our valued customers. The system offers versatile options for transporting cartons vertically, each boasting unique benefits. Offers an economical solution compared to a spiral conveyor and takes up significantly less space. It\’s truly a sight to behold in action. Click here to see in action

TOGETHER WITH CROWN EQUIPMENT CORPORATION AND System In Motion, ALPINE SUPPLY CHAIN SOLUTIONS HELPS HY-CAPACITY REMAIN IN THEIR CURRENT SPACE FOR TWO ADDITIONAL YEARS

When Hy-Capacity, a leading provider of new and remanufactured agricultural equipment parts, began to run out of warehouse space, they contacted Crown Equipment Corporation and System in motion, Inc, who brought in their long-time partner, Alpine Supply Chain Solutions, to help them analyze the company’s storage and layout needs.Alpine Supply Chain Solutions took a data-centric approach to determining layout options that would create more storage space for Hy-Capacity in their existing location. They started with a Storage Type Analysis to fully understand the warehouse environment. They also conducted an ABC analysis to determine the value of inventory items based on their importance to the business. With that information in hand, Alpine was able to create a plan that would increase Hy-Capacity’s space by 85 percent without interrupting operations. This was accomplished by splitting the warehouse into four zones which allowed for changes to be implemented zone by zone with little to no impact on customer service. Before the project, Hy-Capacity was planning to expand their operation into an overflow facility in 2022. However, the new layout and increased storage capacity mean that Hy-Capacity can remain in its current space for several years. Once Alpine completed the analysis and design, Crown and System in Motion secured the required material handling equipment. According to Chad Vaudt, Production Manager at Hy Capacity, “Alpine asked all the right questions and made meticulous use of our data to create a plan that bought us two more years in this location. Simply put, they went above and beyond, showcasing their ability to maximize space, equipment, labor, and control.” “Helping companies get the most out of their supply chain solutions is what we do best.” Shared Alpine’s Managing Principal, Michael Wohlwend, “Ensuring Hy-Capacity could continue to do business as usual and supply the farmers who feed us has been a really great challenge.” About Alpine Supply Chain SolutionsAlpine Supply Chain Solutions, based in Naples, FL, is a supply chain consulting company driven to ensure their clients get the most value from their investments.
