Conveyor Repair Services That Keep You Moving
Conveyor repair is the process of diagnosing, troubleshooting, and fixing conveyor system failures to restore smooth, reliable material flow. When a conveyor system breaks down, productivity stalls, downtime costs rise, and operations across your facility can grind to a halt.
At Systems in Motion, our Aftermarket Services help you get back up and running quickly with expert repair services designed for distribution centers, production lines, and warehouses of all sizes.
From belt replacements to roller realignment, our technicians are trained to repair all major conveyor systems—so you can move forward without costly delays.
We have nationwide network of service technicians, with in-house technicians serving Florida, Arizona, California, Indiana, Wisconsin, and out of our home office in Elgin, Illinois. Whether you operate a Midwest distribution hub or a Phoenix warehouse, we have field teams ready to respond.
No long delays. No excuses. Just real support from people who know conveyors inside and out.
What Our Conveyor Repair Team Fixes
Our technicians handle a wide range of conveyor problems. We work with gravity, powered, accumulation, belt-driven, and modular systems. Whether your equipment is made by Hytrol, Dorner, Dematic, or another major brand, chances are we have repaired the issue before and know the fastest, safest fix.
Common conveyor issues we repair include:
- Belt tears, misalignment, and tracking problems
- Worn rollers, seized bearings, or uneven wear
- Failed motors, faulty gearboxes, and drive malfunctions
- Jammed or slow accumulation zones
- Control panel faults, sensor misreads, and wiring issues
We also provide system inspections and preventive repairs. If you are unsure what the problem is, our team will identify the root cause, explain it in plain language, and outline your best repair options before starting work.

Repair vs. Replacement: What You Need to Know
Not every failure requires a new conveyor. In many cases, a fast repair can extend system life for years. But when OEM parts are obsolete or major assemblies have reached the end of their life cycle, replacement may be the smarter investment.
Our Aftermarket Services team will provide clear recommendations based on part availability, cost of repairs, and system age so you can make the right decision for your facility.
Preventive Maintenance vs. Emergency Repair
Emergency repair keeps you running today. Preventive maintenance keeps you running tomorrow.
By scheduling inspections, replacing worn parts early, and aligning equipment before failures occur, you can reduce downtime, extend asset life, and lower overall maintenance costs. Systems in Motion offers both approaches—so whether you’re in crisis mode or planning ahead, we’ve got you covered.
Supplemental Section: Costs, Timelines, and Industries We Serve
Conveyor Repair Costs
Conveyor repair pricing depends on several factors, including:
- Type of conveyor (belt, roller, accumulation, modular)
- Severity of the issue (minor adjustment vs. major part replacement)
- Availability of replacement parts
- Travel distance for on-site service
- Emergency vs. scheduled repair
We provide clear estimates before starting work, so you’ll know the expected scope and cost. While prices vary, addressing small issues early is always less expensive than waiting for a full breakdown.
Repair Timelines
Downtime matters. Our goal is always the fastest safe repair possible.
- Emergency repairs – In many Midwest and key U.S. regions, a technician can often be dispatched within 24 hours.
- Standard repairs – Scheduled repairs can typically be completed in 1–3 business days, depending on part availability.
- Major overhauls – Larger projects requiring special parts or extensive labor may take longer, but we provide updates at every stage.

Yes. We provide emergency services nationwide. AMS can typically respond to a site within 24 hours. We don’t track MTTR due to the complexities related to replacement part lead times

Yes. We service equipment from Hytrol, Dematic, Dorner, TGW, and others. Our technicians know how to repair systems from all major brands.

- Can we stop production for the repair?
- Where is/are the conveyor(s) located in the system exactly?
When is it better to replace than repair?
When OEM parts for a particular piece of equipment become obsolete, replacement should be considered due to the limited access to replacement parts.
Can you service specialty conveyors (spiral, pallet, sortation, AMR-integrated)?
Yes. We service many specialty types of equipment – scanners, scales, print & apply, spirals, pallet conveyor, vertical lifts, AMR’s, etc.
What is the warranty on repair work?
1 year, if the issue is a result of the initial work performed.
Do you work outside of production hours?
Absolutely!
Do your repairs meet OSHA/CSA conveyor safety standards?
Our team members are all OSHA certified.
Will we receive updated lock-out/tag-out documentation after the repair?
Our technicians are trained for LOTO and are equipped with their own locks. But We don’t provide any documentation actually performing LOTO.
Do you offer training after major repairs?
Formal maintenance training is available.
Can you recycle or responsibly dispose of old conveyor components?
We can dispose of the equipment as required. We often see this in our larger projects with equipment tears outs for new installs.
